I´ve been watching news today morning and I heard contribution about Nokia Batteries which can explode while charging. I have Nokia mobile phone myself and that´s why I was interested.
Nokia informs that Nokia-branded BL-5C battery made between December 2005 and November 2006 can be dangerous because they could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. They should be replaced as soon as possible if you have one. They were used in following types of mobile phones:

There you´ll find out what kind of battery you have. Even if you have BL-5C do not panic. Go to Nokia - web site and insert 26 character Battery identification number into small window and submit. If you have dangerous battery, replace it as soon as possible.
