Musgle

Musgle is a search engine which helps you to find music you are looking for. It originates from the idea of combining words Music and Google. To see how it works, just type a song title, or the artist name, or both in a search bar and click on enter. You will soon be redirected to Google page with relevant search results. After clicking on result you find interesting, you´ll have a chance to directly download the song you are searching for.

Musgle uses Advanced Google Search Operators to find music according to keywords you type in search box.

Code it generates for you looks like this (obstacle 1 is a name of song by interpol):
-inurl:(htm|html|php|shtml|asp|jsp|pls|txt|aspx|jspx) intitle:index.of "last modified" description size (wma|mp3|wav|ogg|avi|divx|mpeg) "obstacle 1"

Well, who would type it manually. And it really works!

Garage Lighting

This is a sponsored post

Garages usually don't have any windows just like mine, or only a few and they are often so small that they don´t provide much light. If you have one I´m sure you know that if you want to do someting in your garage, you need a lot of light unless you don't mean to go blind.

It´s obvious that garage lighting is really important for all of us, and I´m sure you use many various lights just like me: main light which lighten the whole place and is used when parking a car, light on working table which provides enough light when mending something, or movable light which can be used when repairing car.

The best thing about having many lights in you garage is that you have the option to turn on all the lights or just some according to what you are going to do.

Vectorpark

Do you know Vectorpark? I discovered it only few days ago but I can´t stop playing it. You have an opportunity to choose from various games but I presonaly recommend these three.

Feed The Head - Is very original game. I couldn´t stop playing until it was done. Try to pull away it´s nose for several times until small balls appear. Feed the head with them and look what will happen.

Levers - Goal it to hang all the stuff which will fall from the sky on levers so that they balance. It may seem quite difficult but I´m sure you´ll be able to finish it.

Park - Really dark game which I haven´t finished it yet. All i can do is get the huge pine tree to go up and go inside it. But what then? I´ve spent at least five hours playing it but without any succes. Help me please!!!

Visiting Orava

Have you ever been to Slovakia? If yes, have you visited Orava, region in the Norht of this beautiful country? If you are planning to go there, there are places you shouldn´t miss.

Oravský Zámok (Orava Castle)

Castle placed on the top of the hill in small village called Oravský Podzámok is place you sholnd visit. First historical mentions about Orava Castle are dated in 1267. It´s a beautifull place to visit, and we all are proud of it. Many movies were made there and I´m sure you will like it.

Slanický Ostrov ( Slanica Island )

In the middle of Orava Dam there is a small island which remained after dam was built and many villages were flooded. The only way to get there is by boat from Slanica Docks, but you can be sure you won´t regret it. On the Island there is beautifull church which is now galery of art.
From June to July each year classical music concerts are held in the church's exhibition hall as part of the "Orava Summer of Music" festival.
Except visiting Island you´ll be able to see Orava Dam, Námestovo, Bird Island while sailing around the Lake. Don´t miss it.

Múzeum Oravskej Dediny ( Open Air Museum of Orava )

This open-air museum is situated at the foot of mountains - Roháče in the West Tatra. You can find here agricultural and ordinary buildings (houses, agricultural buildings, larders, haylofts, a chalet and others) sacral buildings (a wooden church, churchyard, belfries) and the Orava craftsmen's buildings (a craftsman's house, a mill and a sawmill, a smithery, and others).
The museum is in fact a small village which was first opened in 1975 and it has been very popular ever since.

Oravice ( Oravice spa)

Thermal pools at Oravice, also open year-round. Water here is really hot, up to 54 degrees Celsius. There's also a warm pool that clocks in at around 40 degrees Celsius. The pools are spring-fed and naturally rich in minerals, and surrounded by lovely mountain views.
It a great place where you can relax after long trip with whole family and friends.

Lembas Bread

If you know great author J. R. R. Tolkien you might know about elvish bread called Lembas, also called waybread. The cakes are very nutritious, stay fresh for months when wrapped in leaves, and are used for sustenance on long journeys.

If you´d like to try baking Lembas yourself, here are ingredients:

  • 3 soup spoons of butter
  • 1 bigger egg
  • 4 soup spoons of sugar
  • 1 soup spoon of vanilla sugar ( or three drops of vanilla flavouring )
  • 1 tea spoon of cinnamon
  • 1 pocket of conditioner dough
  • 12 soup spoons of flour

Mix everything alltogehter and leave dough in fridge for a hour. After that spread the dough ( thickness 1 cm ) and start to core lembases. Bake at 220 degrees for abut 10 minutes.

Selfmade lembases are really tasty. When I baked them, they were gone in one hour. :)

Longplayer is a 1000 year long piece of music which started to play on the 1st January 2000 and will continue to play, without repetition, until the 31st December 2999, when it will come back to the point at which it began - and begin again.

Up to this point Longplayer has been playing for 2702 days. 20 hours and 29 minutes.

In its present and original incarnation, as a computer program, it’s been playing since it began in the lighthouse at Trinity Buoy Wharf, London E14. It’s also playing in the planetarium at the Bibliotheca Alexandria, in the Egypt, in the Powerhouse in Brisbane, Australia and in Rufford Park, near Nottingham, England. Dual Music Player

Dual Music Player looks like any Mp3 player available at many shops. But there is a difference. It can also play CD discs. You may like to ask how is it possible? You simply extend two parts of mp3 player and you´ll become smallest CD player ever made. Clever isn´t it?

But unfortunately it´s just a concept made by Yong-Seong Kim. But we all must confess that it looks great!

Jens Meiret created the World’s Highest Website! Currently, it’s 18.939 kilometers high and gives you enormous pleasure to scroll for about an hour. Accualy we will never know if it´s as long as it´s written unless someone prints it all. But I personally think it´s great and simple idea based on one HTML container and pure CSS styling. The Brown Note

Brown tone 2The brown note, according to an urban legend, is an infrasound frequency that causes humans to lose control of their bowels due to resonance. Different versions of the myth place the frequency between 5 and 20 Hz. The brown note was also described as 92 cents below the lowest octave of E-Flat. These low frequency vibration which, when reproduced at sufficient volume, resonates with the depths of the human digestive tract to cause loss of sphincter control, giving rise to immediate defecation.

Note was tested many times, some without effect, some with effect. I even tested it myself yesterday during one show from which I got an ispiration to write this artice. Nothing happened to me.

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!

Coffee comes from Africa, specifically from Ethiopia, from where it came through Jemen and Turkey to Europe where it became popular in the 17th century. Dutch traders were the first to start large scale import of coffee into Europe.

Coffee has two main types, Coffea Arabica which is older one and this coffee-beans are considered to be the best because of their high quality and delicious taste. Coffee Robusta contains about 40-50% more caffeine, than Arabica and is bitter and has little flavor, with a telltale "burnt rubber" or "wet cardboard" aroma and flavor. Other not that important species are Coffea Liberica and Coffea Esliaca from Liberia and Sudan.

Much processing is needed before coffee berries and its seed can be processed into the roasted coffee. Berries must be picked, defruited, dried, sorted, and sometines also aged. Roasting process has a great degree of influence on the taste of the final product. All coffee is roasted before being consumed, often we buy roasted coffee, but some people buy green coffee and roast it at home.

From coffee you can prepare many drinks, hot and also cold. Hot drinks are maybe a little bit more famous than cold ones. Black coffee, White coffee, Cappucino, Caffé Latte, Caffé Macchiato or Turkish coffee are probably best known hot drinks. From cold ones is Frappé best known and I must say it´s really tasty and refreshing.

Coffee is consumed not simply because of taste, but because of the effect it has on those who drink it. Coffee is a simulant, and it also has many benefits, it´s analgesic, antibiabetic, it stimulates human memory and it reduces heart diseases. On the other hand coffee puts people in risk of hihg blood pressure, coffee also causes staining of the teeth and can sometimes cause anxiety and irritability.

Indie vs. Emo

Indie vs. Emo
I couldn ´t sleep last night because of exam I had today so I watched German MTV after midnight and I saw interesting programme called US vs. UK. It was about many things but also about indie bands and emo bands. I didn´t know that they are distinguishable. Well consider yourself. ( I was surprised myself... Didn´t know much about emo as such).

Indie comes from independent and is characterised by perceived independence from commercial pop music and mainstream culture. In the UK, indie music charts have been compiled since the early 80s. The word "indie" is often used to refer specifically to various genres or sounds in a realm of music that runs parallel to more commercial music Indie is not strictly a genre of music although the term is often used to reference the sound of specific bands and the bands they have influenced, but is often used as a term covering a wide range of artists and styles, connected by some degree of allegiance to the values of underground culture. Indie artists are concerned more with self-expression than commercial considerations. Indie artists of any particular time often go against the prevailing trends.

The term indie is now used to identify variety of bands like The Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, The Kooks, Interpol...

Emo is a genre of music and has come to describe several independent variations of music originally in the USA. The classification of bands as "emo" is often controversial. In its original incarnation, the term emo was used to describe a subgenre of hardcore punk. In later years, the term emocore, short for "emotional hardcore". The term emo was derived from the fact that, on occasion, members of a band would become spontaneously and strongly emotional during performances. Bands have gone to great lengths to explain why they don't qualify as "emo". In many cases, the term has simply been attached to them because of musical similarities, a common fashion sense, or because of the band's popularity within the emo scene not because the band adheres to emo as a music genre.

The term emo is used to identify a wide variety of bands like Death Cab for Cutie ( emo band??? ), Fall Out Boy, From First to Last, My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco, Story of the Year, Taking Back Sunday, The Used , Underoath...

Pepsi vs. Coca-Cola

While some people claim that Pepsi tastes exactly the same as Coca-Cola, other people say they can tell a difference in the two soft drinks. Have you ever tried them one after another? I did, and this is what I found out.

What is obvious Coke is not as sweet as Pepsi. As I found in wikipedia it´s because Pepsi is believed to have more lemon oil and less orange oil. ( It´s strange right? Lemmon is much acid than orange, and that´s why Coke should be much sweeter.) Also Pepsi uses vanillin rather than vanilla which is used in Coke. ( I do not see difference between vanilla and vanillin which is the primary component of the extract of the vanilla bean :P OOPS!)
After drinking Pepsi I had bitterness in my mounth, which was much intense than after drinking Coke.

Well, these two were the only differences I manage to find. I like Coke much more, because it´s not that sweet and I think it´s more refreshing. But it´s only my personal choice. :) Maybe you like Pepsi more than Coke.
